KUCHING: It was a night to remember for one lucky passenger and 300 staff of MASwings who celebrated the Chinese New Year in conjunction with the airline’s milestone achievement of hitting the 1,000,000th mark at a local hotel here in Kuching.
To celebrate the 1,000,000th customer milestone, MASwings feted the lucky passenger, Madam Theresa Ipau ak Kapit from Kuching two complimentary return tickets from Kuching to Kota Kinabalu. “ I am honoured and humbled to be here with MASwings staff in celebrating this auspicious occasion. I am also very lucky to be chosen as MASwings lucky 1,000,000th passenger!” exclaimed Theresa.
In just 16 months since its launch in October 2007, MASwings has established its role in the tourism industry as well as providing reliable and regular services in Sabah and Sarawak.
MASwings Managing Director, Mohd Salleh Ahmad Tabrani said, “Having reaching 1,000,000 customer hit within the length of our operation is a remarkable achievement which gratitude goes to all our loyal customers”.
“MASwings is committed to you. With the six new ATR planes that we will receive this year, we will be able to offer new destinations and increase our capacity and frequency. We are very single minded in our purpose to serve the community and to connect the world to Sabah and Sarawak”, he added.
