MASWINGS INVITES GOLFERS FOR MASWINGS GOLF ESCAPADE MONTHLY TOURNAMENT - 12 DECEMBER 2009
MASwings Sdn Bhd (MASwings) is calling interested golfers in Sabah and Sarawak to participate in the MASwings Golf Escapade Monthly Tournament (MGE) scheduled to be held on Saturday 12th December 2009 at Eastwood Valley Golf and Country Club in Miri.
The organizing chairman of MGE, Zamanimaran Abdullah said the tournament is held following the successful monthly tournament organized by MASwings at the same venue the past two consecutive months that received overwhelming response from fellow golfers from Sarawak.
Zamanimaran who is also MASwings’ Head of Business Development and Charter said MASwings is extending the invitation to participate in the forthcoming tournament to golfers in Sabah and Sarawak as part of the plan to increase more and more people to travel and participate in golfing events.
He added apart from golf participating golfers can also build relationship and rapport with other players as golfers were known as very friendly and outgoing whenever they meet new friends and company.
Managing Director of Jubilant Travel, Solomon Koh said the organizing team is very optimistic that the forthcoming tournament will attract more participation as more and more players were aware of the series of monthly tournaments organized by MASwings.
MASwings in association with Jubilant Travel had previously organized two tournaments, the first being held in July 2009 in conjunction with the launching of MASwings Golf Escapade tour packages developed by Jubilant Travel which offers special air fares on MASwings and accommodations at selected hotels in Kota Kinabalu, Kuching and Miri. The tournament was officially launched by MASwings Managing Director, Mohamad Salleh Ahmad Tabrani with the presence of Tourism Malaysia State Director Sarawak, Johanif Mohamad Ali.
“The recent monthly tournament was held on Sunday 29 December 2009 participated by 80 golfers mostly from Miri. Almost all golfers were very delighted with MASwings goodies and prizes and looking forward for the next tournament” Solomon said.
Apart from normal goodies, participants were also given car sticker “MASwings Golf Escapade” for them to place on their car windscreen and will stand a chance to win air ticket on selected MASwings destinations.
